North Bengal Teachers’ Training College was started its Teachers’  College in the year of 2014 with the aim to provide quality education to create Teachers’ in the field of Education.
The College mainly teach NCTE recognized B.Ed & D.El.Ed course as per WBBPE curriculum.
The College has number of facilities like Digital Library, Audio visual classes, infrastructure with play ground for extra curricular activities.
Other than course curriculum, we also teach our students using the latest psychological teaching methodology.

Course We Offer

B.Ed ( Bachelor of Education ):

The Bachelor of Education program, generally known as B.ED, is a professional course that prepares teacher for upper primary and middle level (class VI-VIII), secondary level (classes IX -X) and senior secondary level classes (XI-XII).The program shall be offered in composite institution as defined in clause (b) of regulation 2.

B.Ed Course Details

Course Duration

The B.ED program shall be of a duration of two academic years, which can be complete in a maximum of three years from date of admission to the programme.

Intake & Eligibility

Intake

  • There shall be a basic unit of 100 students, with a maximum a 2 units. There shall not be more than twenty five students per teacher for a school subject for methods courses and other practical activities of the programme to facilities participatory teaching and learning.

Eligibility

  • (a)Candidate with at least fifty percent mark either in the bachelor’s degree and/or in the master’s degree in Sciences/Social Science/Humanity bachelor of Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent there to, are eligible for admission to the programme.(b)The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC?PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules the Central Government / State Government, Whichever is applicable.

Admission Procedure

  • Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of the marks obtained in gthe qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the State and Government/U.T. Administration and the University.

Fees

  • The institution shall charge only such fee as prescribed by the affiliating body/state government concerned in according with provision of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Guidelines for regulations of tuition fees and other fees chargeable by unaided teacher education institutions) Regulation, 2002, as amended from time to time and shall not charge donation, capitation fee etc from the students.

D.El.Ed ( Diploma in Elementary Education ):

The Diploma in Elementary Education (D. EI. Ed) is a two year professional programme of teacher education. It aims to prepare teacher for the elementary stage of education, i.e. classes I to VIII. The aim of elementary education is to fulfil the basic learning needs of children in a inclusive school environment bridging social and gender gaps with the active participation of the community.

The elementary teacher education program carries different nomenclatures such a BTC, J.B.T, D.Ed and (Diploma in Education). Henceforth, the nomenclatures of the program shall be the same across all states and it shall be referred to as the ‘Diploma in Elementary Education (D. EI. Ed).

D.El.Ed Course Details:

Course Duration

The D.EI.ED programme shall be of a duration of two academic years. However, the student shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of three year from the date of admission to the programme.

Intake & Eligibility

Intake

  • The basic unit shall be of 50 students. Two basic units are permissible initially. However, Government institutions shall be sanctioned maximum intake four units subject to fulfilment of other requirements.

Eligibility

  1. Candidate with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
  2. The reservation and relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the central government / State government, whichever is applicable.
